Accessibility Statement

Yottatable aims to make this site usable for everyone, including readers who use assistive technologies, readers with low vision or limited dexterity, readers with photosensitive conditions, and readers whose first language is not English.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, with due regard to the underlying EN 301 549 standard where it applies.

• Semantic HTML with appropriate landmark regions, headings and form labels throughout the site.
• Keyboard-reachable navigation, including skip links, focus styles and a focus order that matches the visual order.
• Colour contrast tested at the AA threshold against the site's background and surface tokens.
• Text alternatives for non-decorative images and identifiable icons.
• Resizable text up to 200 percent without loss of content.
• Tools and calculators that work with the keyboard, expose their results to assistive technology and avoid colour-only signalling for meaning.
• Reduced-motion behaviour for users who have set the prefers-reduced-motion preference.

Some embedded third-party content (videos, maps, interactive figures provided by external services) may not fully conform. Where we embed such content, we provide a textual alternative on the same page.

Some long-form articles use serif typography for editorial reasons. Users who find serif text difficult can override the site's font choice through their browser or assistive technology.

We aim to acknowledge within five working days and to publish a fix or an alternative format within thirty working days where reasonably possible.

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you have the right to escalate to the relevant supervisory body in your jurisdiction. In the United Kingdom, the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland share responsibility. In the European Union, the relevant national enforcement body handles complaints under the Web Accessibility Directive.

We assess the site using a combination of automated tools, manual review against WCAG 2.2 success criteria, and feedback from readers who use assistive technology. We retest after material design changes and at least annually.

We will update this statement when our practices change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage and reflected in the version date at the top of this page.
